Travel Anyway

Even With Fear. Even With Panic. Even If Your World Has Gotten Smaller.
Maybe you’ve cancelled trips, avoided flying, stayed close to home, or missed experiences because anxiety became too loud.
Maybe fear slowly started making more and more decisions for you.
Travel Anyway is an exposure-based travel coaching program for people who want to explore, travel, and engage more fully with life, but feel held back by anxiety, panic, avoidance, or fear of the unknown.
Through guided coaching, gradual exposure work, group support, and a shared travel experience, participants practice engagement instead of avoidance while building confidence in real life.
You do not need to feel fearless before you begin.
You only need to be willing to take the next step.
Who This Is For
This program may be a good fit for you if:
-
You’ve cancelled trips because of anxiety or panic

You avoid flying, unfamiliar places, or being far from home
-
You fear panic attacks while traveling
-
You feel trapped by anticipatory anxiety
-
You rely heavily on routines, safe places, or safe people
-
You feel frustrated watching your world become smaller over time

How It Works
Travel Anyway is an 8-week coaching and experiential program created by a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety and OCD treatment.
The program includes:
-
Individual coaching sessions
-
Gradual exposure work
-
Pre-trip group sessions
-
A guided group trip
-
A final integration session after returning home
The upcoming destination is Charleston, South Carolina.
Charleston offers a balance of exploration, and meaningful challenge. With its walkable streets, history, beaches, restaurants, and variety of new experiences, it creates opportunities to practice navigating uncertainty, unfamiliar environments, social situations, and being outside of routine within a supportive setting.
Participants will stay together in a shared hotel environment with opportunities for both support and independence throughout the experience.
This is not about eliminating fear or feeling calm all the time.
It’s about learning that fear does not have to determine the size of your world.
Meet Your Guide
Leila Jelvani is a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety and OCD treatment. Having traveled to 35 states and more than 60 countries, she has seen firsthand how meaningful experiences and unfamiliar environments can expand confidence, perspective, and connection to life.
The idea for Travel Anyway became more personal during a trip with a friend who was struggling with anxiety throughout the experience, from getting on smaller airplanes to navigating caves during a hike and trying unfamiliar foods. While supporting her through those moments, Leila saw how much fear was limiting someone who genuinely wanted to participate fully in life and travel.
That experience reinforced something she has seen repeatedly in her clinical work: people do not need to eliminate fear completely before they begin living more fully. Travel Anyway was created to help people practice moving toward meaningful experiences even when anxiety comes along for the ride.

Important to Know
Travel Anyway is a coaching and experiential program and is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or crisis care.
